Founded in 1937, the Turkish National Police Academy has always attached importance to cooperation in security issues, improved its international networking activities as of 1991 and consolidated its international relations through the international seminars and symposiums it has organized and through its affiliations in international organizations as well as the international training programs it has organized for the police departments of other countries. Within this scope, the Turkish National Police Academy has strong relations with leading national and international institutions and programs, including the International Association of Police Academies (INTERPA), the Association of European Police Colleges (AEPC), the European Union Agency for Law Enforcement Training (CEPOL), the Turkish Cooperation and Coordination Agency (TİKA) and the Erasmus+ Programme of the European Union.
